Deleting an Item Digit

1. When you first enter the Item Digit option a Select An Option window will appear with the following options:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Item menu.
• PRINT LIST – Select PRINT LIST to print a list of item digits.
• A list of item digits: first digit, and fourth digit through eighth digit

Scroll to item digit containing the item digit definition that needs to be deleted and press Enter to confirm your selection.

2. A Select An Option window will appear with the following options:

• EXIT – Select EXIT to exit and return to the Select An Option window.
• ADD – Select ADD to add a digit.
• PRINT LIST – Select PRINT LIST to print a list of definitions for the item digit selected.
• A list of digits that have already been used.

Scroll to the item digit definition you would like to delete and press Enter to confirm your selection.

3. Command options will appear:

• Change – Select Change to make changes to the item digit definition.
• Delete – Select Delete to delete the item digit definition.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the first Select An Option window.

Note: You cannot delete an item digit definition if records associated with the item digit definition are found in the system history or in other tables.
